Keith Taylor signs with Falcons practice squad ahead of NFL Week 3.
The Atlanta Falcons signed veteran cornerback Keith Taylor to their practice squad on Tuesday afternoon. Taylor, who originally signed with the Falcons in free agency, was released by the team at the 53-man roster deadline.
The 26-year-old was selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers. Taylor has appeared in 45 games with five starts over three NFL seasons, recording 72 tackles (58 solo), one forced fumble and six passes defended. Last season he appeared in 11 games for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell exited Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings due to a hamstring injury and did not return. Head coach Raheem Morris did not have an update on Terrell on Monday but said he would know more when practice begins this week.
