Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills were the only undefeated teams of the season heading into Week Five, but both suffered losses over the weekend as sensational results across the NFL unfolded. Meanwhile, Baltimore Ravens endured another day of disappointment after a blowout loss to the Houston Texans.

Below are Sunday’s most notable moments.

The expectation to continue the Eagles’ uninterrupted winning streak was broken on the road against the Denver Broncos during a game at Lincoln Financial Field, where the Broncos secured the 21-17 victory.

Eagles had a 14-point lead late in the third quarter, but the Broncos staged a substantial comeback in the final period thanks to the play of Bo Nix, who started it with an 11-yard pass to Evan Engram and then led the team ahead with a two-point conversion with Troy Franklin, with about 7:30 remaining.

Nix then connected on an 11-yard pass to Engram for a touchdown, and Will Lutz added a 36-yard field goal with a minute to go, but a tense final drive ended with Hurts’s end-zone interception, allowing the visitors to celebrate.

“Obviously, we’re proud of the fight our guys showed. We knew this would be a tough game.”

– Sean Payton

“We expected this to be a low-scoring game. In the end, I think we won the battle at the line and finished.”

Hurts threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, but the Broncos’ defense held him under pressure six times. After the loss, Hurts commented on the Eagles’ offensive line, which still does not always operate as expected.

“I think we’re looking for progress, and given the type of team we need to be, we have the ability to start the drive with the run, and it could look different.”

– Jalen Hurts

“We just have to look at how to improve this stretch, go out there and take responsibility for the things we can control, and grow from this opportunity.”

– Jalen Hurts

An unexpectedly strong performance was demonstrated by the newly relocated Patriots at Highmark Stadium, where they beat the Bills 23-20. Diggs, previously known for his time in Buffalo, showed a brilliant streak with 146 yards and 10 receptions, while Drake Maye finished the night with 273 yards on 22 of 30 passes.

“That was hot, in prime time,” Diggs said after the win. “It was electrifying. I knew this would be a test for us.”

– Stefon Diggs

May finished the night with 273 yards, but the decisive moment came in the second half, notably an incredible 12-yard pass from Diggs on the final drive of the game that gave the Patriots the lead. The game was sealed by Andres Borregales with a 52-yard field goal with 15 seconds to go.

The Bills now have a lot to learn after an unclear performance that included three turnovers.

“We just played sloppy. There’s no sense in winning a football game when you turn the ball over three times.”

– Josh Allen

“This is just bad football. We just didn’t play well tonight.”

– Josh Allen

Another rough page followed for the Ravens: 10-44 against the Texans, and spectators saw yet another downturn in the Ravens’ form during the game. The injury-plagued squad, including leader Lamar Jackson, still tried to stick to a plan, but gaps along the day’s offensive lines left them hampered even with enough players on the field.

“Obviously, we were beaten in every sense.”

– John Harbaugh

“Just complete disappointment.”

When CJ Stroud of the Texans opened the early series, Ravens backup quarterback Cooper Rush voiced his view: «Nobody wants to be here, but this is our spot right now, and we have to work our way out of this position.»
