Of the many moves the Cincinnati Bengals made this past offseason, moving on from veteran linebacker Germaine Pratt was by far one of the least controversial.

Roughly one month into the season, the Bengals got a little reassurance on the validity of that move with the news going out that the Las Vegas Raiders have already released Pratt.

Those Raiders are 1-4, so it’s pretty interesting that they’re cutting ties with talent at all, let alone veterans at areas of need.

The Bengals, meanwhile, continue to get impressive returns from second-round rookie Demetrius Knight, the guy they drafted to immediately fill Pratt’s void in the defense.

Fellow rookie Barrett Carter has been getting some notable reps in Al Golden’s defense, too.
