Though tight end Tyler Warren will be wearing similar-looking uniforms with the Indianapolis Colts to the ones he donned at Penn State, the number on the back will be different.
Prior to the start of rookie minicamp, the Colts released a video of the former Nittany Lion star wearing the No. 84 as he jogged onto the field, less than a month after he was selected No. 14 overall in the 2025 NFL draft.

Warren wore No. 44 for all five seasons in Happy Valley, which he said he chose because his dad wanted him to play like former Washington Commanders running back John Riggins. As a Virginia native, Washington was the hometown team for Warren growing up.
Though it’s possible Warren will decide to change his number at some point before the start of the season, No. 44 is currently being worn by linebacker Zaire Franklin, potentially eliminating that option.
The last Colt to wear No. 84 was Albert Okwuegbunam last season, who was recently seen wearing No. 83.
Notably, Warren’s former Nittany Lion teammate Theo Johnson wore No. 84 while with the program. He continued to wear the number with the New York Giants.
