Rasheed Wallace didn’t have much of a nice-guy reputation in the NBA. And it appears he hasn’t changed that much since retiring.

A fan claimed to have met him on Monday night and let him know he was one of his favorite players growing up, only to be asked to get out of the former player’s face – and he wasn’t all that nice about it.

“Rasheed Wallace! I told him I was a big fan of him growing up and he said “get the f**k out of my face” so definitely the attitude holds up on and off the court,” he wrote in a tweet, sharing a selfie showing Sheed in the background.

Wallace’s hostility may have had something to do with the Chiefs losing to the Jaguars on the night.

As you can see, he’s wearing a Chiefs jersey and appears to be making his way out of the EverBank Stadium. The fan in question claims to be a Jags supporter in his bio, so we get why a naturally fiery Rasheed would be pissed at having to deal with an expectedly jubilant Jacksonville fan.

Drafted fourth overall by the Washington Bullets in 1995, Wallace quickly established himself as a paint presence, boasting a smooth shooting touch as a big who could stretch the floor, while also excellent on defense.

His time with the Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons would cement his legacy, as he became the face of the “Jail Blazers” era in Portland, setting an NBA record for most technical fouls in a single season with 41, all while playing winning basketball.

He was just what Detroit needed to get back to the NBA Finals, helping them win a championship by beating a star-studded Los Angeles Lakers dynasty to give the Pistons their third title after they traded for him in 2004.

He remains one of the most enigmatic figures of the 2000s era, but has since gotten a worthy adversary in Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, whose team has also prompted a debate about how they would stack up against the ‘04 Pistons.
