The Tennessee Titans were off on Tuesday, but did make a few transactions ahead of their Week 6 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The biggest transaction of the day was the team waiving former first-round pick wide receiver Treylon Burks from injured reserve. The move was anticipated, and was actually reported on Monday by Ian Rapoport, although the team did not make it official until Tuesday afternoon.

Burks was in the midst of a solid opening to training camp when he suffered a broken collarbone making a diving grab along the sideline at the teams first open practice at Nissan Stadium. The injury was the latest in a myriad of injuries that have plagued Burks since being drafted.

If he clears waivers, Burks will become an unrestricted free agent and be free to sign with any NFL franchise.

Tennessee also released defensive back Alex Johnson from the practice squad. Johnson was signed to the practice squad at the end of September after the team traded starting cornerback Jarvis Brownlee to the New York Jets, but did not see any action this season.

Tennessee also worked out kicker Cade York on Tuesday, although he was not signed. York joins four other kickers the Titans worked out ahead of their Week 5 battle with the Arizona Cardinals, as the continue to update their rolodex in case Joey Slye happens to go into a slump.

The Titans will return to the practice field on Wednesday as they begin preparations for their Week 6 battle with the Raiders in Las Vegas.
