Former Penn State star and Ravens first-round pick Odafe Oweh is on the move.
Oweh has been traded to the Los Angeles Chargers, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
The Ravens are giving up Odafe Oweh and a future seventh-round pick. In return, they are getting safety Alohi Gilman and a 2026 fifth-round pick.
Oweh was drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the No. 31 overall pick after being a first-team All-Big Ten selection for the Nittany Lions in 2020.
He recorded 23 sacks across his first four NFL seasons, including a career high 10 last year. However, through five games in 2025 he has 10 tackles and zero sacks as the Ravens are off to a 1-4 start.
As for Alohi Gilman, the former Notre Dame star was drafted in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Gilman has 22 tackles and three passes defended through the first five games of the year.
The Chargers are off to a 3-2 start to the season, but they struggled in their last two games, falling to the Giants and Commanders.
Los Angeles struggled on offense in particular against the Commanders, scoring 10 points in the first quarter before being shut out for the rest of the game.
The Chargers are hopeful that Odafe Oweh can help them end their slide.
