Atlanta to wear classic throwback uniforms on Monday night.
The Atlanta Falcons are breaking out their throwback uniforms for Monday’s prime-time game against the Buffalo Bills. This Week 6 matchup will air on ESPN’s Monday Night Football at 7:15 p.m. ET. Coming off a bye week, the Falcons will be looking to secure their third win of the season.
As for the Bills, they suffered their first loss of the season to the New England Patriots on Sunday night, dropping to 4-1 overall. Buffalo defeated Atlanta the last time these two teams faced off in 2022. The Falcons have gone 7-6 in 13 career games against the Bills.
Defensively, the Atlanta and Buffalo boast the NFL’s top two passing defenses this season. The Falcons are ranked first, allowing just 135 yards passing yards per game, while the Bills are giving up just 154 yards per contest through Week 5.
For the Falcons, it will be the first of three games this season that they wear their throwback uniforms. The team won’t break out those iconic red helmets until late in the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15, and one more time against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17.
