WASHINGTON (7News) — Washington Commanders running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt was named one of two players to win the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week Award for Week 5, the team announced Wednesday.
Fans were able to cast their votes for six players this week. The FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week recognize standout performance for all offensive positions.
Croskey-Merritt was recognized for his 111 rushing yards, 39 receiving yards, and two touchdowns on 14 carries in the game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The award is paired with a $2,000 donation to D.C.’s local food bank, Capital Area Food Bank, which is a part of Feeding America’s network.
The Commanders will take on the Chicago Bears on Monday, October 13.
