ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers are hosting a flag football tournament for servicemembers as part of its Salute to Service initiatives.
Eight teams featuring flag football players from several branches of the military will compete Friday at the Titletown football field. Fans and community members are welcome to attend.
The tournament is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. with round robin matchups. The single elimination portion will begin at 1:15 p.m.
During the lunch break, teams will hear from Matt Seidl of BRAVE (Building Resilience through Action in Veterans and First Responders) and Packers alum Vonnie Holiday.
The winning team’s morale fund will receive a $2,500 donation from the NFL’s 2025 Salute to Service Team Program Grant. The runner-up will get $1,500, and teams finishing in third through eighth place will each get $500.
Participating flag football teams are from the Air Force, Air National Guard, Army, Army National Guard, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy and veterans.
