PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren returned to practice in full on Wednesday, and said he “feels great” after unexpectedly missing the team’s Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings with a knee injury.

Warren confirmed that the right knee injury occurred the previous week against the New England Patriots. Though it was anticipated that he would be able to play in Dublin, Ireland against the Vikings, Warren said that he didn’t suffer any kind of setback, and the team was simply exercising caution.

“Yeah, they were just being preventative,” he said. “We had a bye following.”

Warren confirmed that he’s good to go for the team’s Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.

Without Warren in the fold, the Steelers rushing game did not miss much, using Kenneth Gainwell and a heavy personnel package to have one of their best rushing games of the season against Minnesota. Warren said he was happy for Gainwell’s success.

“Fantastic,” he said. “It was good seeing him. Watching practice every day, we all knew that was going to come to light some day. As y’all saw it, that’s the game that came out.”

Now the Steelers will take their big-bodied approach to running the ball against the Browns’ No. 2 rushing defense with a pair of running backs playing well at their disposal. Warren said he’s looking forward to the matchup of bigs on bigs.

“The more big bodies there are, the better,” he said. “As y’all saw last game, they were moving people. The film don’t lie. They do their thing and as running backs, we love to see that. “
