New York’s maximum weekly unemployment insurance benefit increase goes into effect next week, raising from $504 to $869, state officials reminded residents Wednesday.

6. Benefits of passkeys and why they may replace traditional passwords for cybersecurity
Rochester Institute of Technology cybersecurity principal lecturer Jonathan S. Weissman says traditional passwords may soon be replaced by something much safer — passkeys. He explained that instead of typing in a password, users will be able to log in using their face, fingerprint, or phone PIN, making it harder for hackers to gain access.

On Friday, Firebaugh High School, located in Josh Allen’s hometown of Firebaugh, California, will honor one of their most famous alums by naming their football field after him.Â
The school will be serving chicken wings and raffling off signed Allen memorabilia as part of the celebration.Â
