Sixth-year defensive lineman Charles Omenihu was listed on the Kansas City Chiefs‘ initial injury report for Week 6.

Here is the latest update on Omenihu’s status heading into the Chiefs‘ primetime matchup against the Detroit Lions on ‘Sunday Night Football’ at Arrowhead Stadium:

Charles Omenihu injury update

Omenihu is dealing with an ankle injury, but was active during Kansas City’s Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. His ankle injury didn’t keep him from being listed as a full participant in the Chiefs’ most recent practice session on Wednesday, October 8.

How long will Charles Omenihu be out?

Omenihu’s ankle injury did not keep him from playing last week and is unlikely to sideline him for the Chiefs’ matchup against the Lions on Sunday.

Chiefs DL depth chart

If the former Texas Longhorn is unable to suit up for the reigning AFC champions in Week 6, defensive linemen George Karlaftis, Malik Herring, and Ashton Gillotte will be asked to step up and face Detroit’s offensive line.
