Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris met with the media before Thursday’s practice session to give updates on wide receiver Darnell Mooney, cornerback A.J. Terrell and a few others. Morris said that Mooney is “day-to-day” with a hamstring injury and will miss Thursday’s practice.
Mooney was injured during the team’s Week 4 win over the Washington Commanders. If he can’t get back on the field this week, the team will look to Ray-Ray McCloud and Casey Washington to fill in on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. In three games this season, Mooney has recorded seven catches for 79 receiving yards.

Terrell, on the other hand, will return to practice after missing the last two games. The team’s No. 1 cornerback is also dealing with a hamstring injury but Morris said he was looking forward to getting Terrell back in time for the Falcons’ prime-time matchup.
“A.J. is always great to get back, and he’s coming back today for practice,” said Morris. “He’ll be out there again. I feel good about that moving forward.”
The Falcons practice schedule is slightly altered this week due to their Monday night game against the Bills. Instead of practicing Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, they will practice on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Check back this afternoon for the team’s full Thursday injury report.
Atlanta will host Buffalo on Monday night at 7:15 p.m. ET as part of a double-header on ESPN.
