Green Bay Packers receiver Christian Watson will not play on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals despite looking “pretty damn good” during his first week back at practice.
“He won’t play this week,” LaFleur said Friday. “But he looked pretty damn good, so I’m excited for when that day comes. He’s definitely going to add an element to our offense.”

Watson, who tore his ACL in the 2024 regular season finale on Jan. 5, was designated for return from the PUP list on Monday. He practiced with the team on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and is expected to practice again in a limited capacity on Friday.
When asked about next week, LaFleur said, “We’ll see.”
The Packers go to Arizona to play the Cardinals next Sunday.
Watson is designated for return and can practice with the team without counting on the 53-man roster. The Packers will need to activate him to the roster before Watson can play, but the team can do so at any point in the three-week practice window.

Watson, who signed a 1-year contract extension last month, caught 29 passes for 620 yards and two touchdowns over 15 games last season.
