It’s Week Five of the NFL regular season and the Pittsburgh Steelers are back off the their bye week. Pittsburgh is sitting pretty at 3-1 and on top in the AFC North with the 1-4 Cleveland Browns on the schedule. This means it is time for our weekly mock draft update and this time we are going four rounds.
First round – QB LaNorris Sellers – South Carolina
Despite picking No. 27 in the round, South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers slipped through the cracks and landed in the Steelers’ laps. After watching how Jaxson Dart has played for the New York Giants passed on him for DT Derrick Harmon, we can’t see them doing something like that again with a franchise QB on the board.
Second round – CB Will Lee III – Texas A&M
Lee has elite length and athleticism and would be a perfect upgrade over Darius Slay in the secondary. The Steelers cornerbacks are aging and struggling with injuries so whether it’s Lee or someone else, an upgrade is a must.
Third round – WR Elijah Sarratt – Indiana
Sarratt is such an underrated route runner and has impressive skills after the football is in his hands. We have no idea if Calvin Austin III will ever be able to stay healthy for a full year so this is another significant position of need.
Third round – DT Caleb Banks – Florida
The future of Cam Heyward is very much up in the air and while we love the potential of Derrick Harmon and Yahya Black, you can never have enough big, physical defensive tackles.
Fourth round – OT Caleb Miller -Clemson
Miller is a guy I had high hopes for coming into the season but he’s coming along much slower than I expected. This is why he finds himself as a developmental prospect in the fourth round.
