And then, trailing 7-6, the Tigers moved to a first-and-goal at the 6. But the drive stalled and Legg was stuffed on fourth-and-goal from the 1.

It didn’t take long for Myrtle Beach to flip the field in a big way.

On third-and-five from the 6, Cohen took the inside handoff to the left, got outside and raced 70 yards to the Conway 24.

“My O-line blocked it great,” Cohen said. “They blocked it and I ran down the field.”

Gaddy threw a touchdown pass to Amare Brown on the next play for a 14-6 lead with about a minute to play in the first quarter.

Conway responded with a long drive. Once again, though, the Seahawks yielded in the middle of the field but not in the red zone. On fourth-and-19 from the 21, Legg tried to hit Jordan Jenkins in the end zone but the pass was incomplete.

“We still have to work on some stuff with our defense,” said lineman Elijah Williams. “We did pretty good.”

Myrtle Beach then put together a 12-play drive, overcoming two holding penalties, and extended its lead to 21-6 on a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Then the Seahawks’ Antoino Brown recovered a pooch onside kick at the Conway 47. Moments later, Gaddy rifled a 33-yard touchdown pass to J.J. Brown and the rout was on.

That trend continued in the third quarter when Cohen ran 10 yards for a touchdown and Tyree Cauthen returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown.

Legg had a pair of touchdown passes in the second half. The junior left-hander was 15-of-27 for 245 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Myrtle Beach eclipsed 50 points when backup running back Julio Delphin scooted 13 yards for a touchdown as the Seahawk sideline erupted.

“We knew we were capable of it,” Gaddy said. “So, I’m not surprised.”

Neither was Cohen.

“I think we played amazing,” Cohen said. “There’s a couple of things we might have to fix. As a whole, I think we’re doing great. I just love how we’re going. We’ll get better as the weeks go.”
