The Arizona Cardinals will face the Indianapolis Colts Sunday in Week 6. They kick off from Lucas Oil Stadium at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. Arizona time).

The Colts are heavy favorites in the game and most believe they will win the game.

But it has been a while since the Cardinals faced the Colts. They last played in 2021 on Christmas Day.

To get ready for the game, Colts Wire managing editor Paul Bretl helps preview the matchup, taking us “behind enemy lines,” telling us about the players to watch, giving us fantasy advice and more!

What are the Colts’ biggest injuries to watch? Will Alec Pierce clear concussion protocol? What is the latest on Kenny Moore and Grover Stewart?

Alec Pierce will return this week. He’s been one of the more productive downfield receivers in football over the last year and has impacted other levels of the field this season as well — an area of emphasis for him. Kenny Moore has been ruled out, so we will likely see Chris Lammons at the nickel. Grover Stewart should be good to go.

Why is Daniel Jones so good this year? Can it be sustained?

At this point, it does seem sustainable — we have a good sample size to evaluate. Jones is operating Steichen’s offense at a very high level. It feels like in just about every instance, he knows where the ball needs to go, regardless of what the defense is doing. That’s a credit to Jones, but also Steichen for the game plans he’s put together. Jones has brought consistency to the quarterback position, along with some big-play potential as well.

Jonathan Taylor is a must-start in fantasy. Who else should be in our fantasy lineup this weekend for the Colts?

Tight end Tyler Warren is a must-start. He’s a mismatch, particularly over the middle, and is second on the team in targets and receptions, and is first in receiving yards.

Which matchups are you most looking forward to watching?

Right now, I want to see the Colts’ pass rush continue to find more consistency, specifically at the defensive end position. Laiatu Latu has had an impressive start to the season, even if the sack numbers aren’t there, and overall, that group is picking up steam. But in order for the defense to take another step, getting after the quarterback with more regularity will be important.

Cardinals at Colts predictions

I’m picking the Colts. This offense is rolling right now, and even in their loss to the Rams, one touchdown was wiped away by a fumble and another by a penalty. The defense, meanwhile, has been advantageous in key moments.
