After suffering a concussion in Week 3, Pierce returned to practice last week and was a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday. However, after not responding well after Thursday’s practice, Pierce did not practice on Friday and was ruled out of the Raiders‘ game.

Following Friday’s practice, head coach Shane Steichen announced that Pierce will play in Sunday’s game. He has cleared concussion protocol.

With Pierce back, he will assume his role in the starting lineup next to Michael Pittman and Josh Downs. Pierce has, again, provided the Colts with that big play spark this season, but he’s also been featured at other levels of the field — an area he wanted to improve on this past offseason.

Now, whether it is Ashton Dulin or AD Mitchell who is WR4 this week remains to be seen. Shane Steichen was non-committal again towards Mitchell’s role.
