Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season is already upon us and the action will wrap up with a Monday night doubleheader. The second matchup will feature the Chicago Bears visiting the Washington Commanders at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC.
The Bears enter this primetime matchup fresh off their bye week and are looking to keep the momentum going after picking up two straight wins right before the break. Quarterback Caleb Williams had a mix of ups and downs through the first four games of his sophomore campaign, but has mostly been solid for the 2-2 team.
Below, we’ll go over Williams’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 6.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears QB Caleb Williams
Williams has completed 62.3% of his passes for 927 yards with eight touchdowns and two interceptions through the air this season, also adding an additional 110 yards and a score on the ground. Those numbers have put last year’s No. 1 overall pick right in the middle of fantasy QB’s at No. 16 with an average of 21 points per game and it’s reflected by him being ranking in the middle of several metrics like passing EPA.
A big thing to note is that he’s only taken seven sacks so far this season, which was a significant problem for him as a rookie as he took the third-most sacks in NFL history last year with 68. He’s been able to stay upright this season and the Bears’ success will be tied to his ability to stay upright.
Sit. Unfortunately for Williams, he’s going up against a Washington defense that has the fifth-highest sack rate in the league at 8.33%. He’ll be under pressure on the road and if I’m going back and forth over whether to start him for the week, I’m leaning towards leaving him on the bench.
