The Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders are up next with a rematch in primetime after last year’s infamous Hail Mary. Here’s where to catch the game:
The Chicago Bears are back in action after an early Week 5 bye week. Following the short dormancy, the Bears will venture to Washington D.C. and get set for a notable rematch against the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football.
Following last season’s infamous Hail Mary to give the Commanders a Week 8 win, the Bears began free falling. The Bears did not win a game until the final game of the season on the road against the Green Bay Packers. In reality, that game a season ago completely flipped the Bears’ organization on its head, ultimately leading to the hire of Ben Johnson.
That said, the past is the past. The new-look Chicago Bears are moving on and looking to secure a third straight victory on Monday. Following a convincing win against the Dallas Cowboys and a gritty win in Las Vegas, a win against a 3-2 Commanders team would be another completed task on the road to turning the franchise’s fortunes around. However, Jayden Daniels and company will certainly ensure a win does not come easy for Chicago.
On a positive note, the Bears defense will be healthier in Week 6. Kyler Gordon, T.J. Edwards, and Austin Booker are expected to make their season debuts. Some new life on the defensive side of the football could be exactly what the Bears need to secure a tough victory.
