The Arizona Cardinals will find out their full regular-season schedule on Wednesday. But, thanks to an announcement about a Week 1 matchup, we can eliminate one week for one of the Cardinals’ opponents.

The NFL announced Monday that the 2025 season opener on Thursday, Sept. 4 will be the Dallas Cowboys visiting the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cardinals will face the Cowboys in 2025 as one of their nine road games. It just won’t be in Week 1.

A road game against the Cowboys does open the possibility for a Thanksgiving game, as the Cowboys always play at home on Thanksgiving.

The Cardinals and the rest of the NFL will have their full schedules released Wednesday ay 5 p.m. Arizona time.
