The NFL recently announced that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a nominee for one of this week’s FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards after his performance against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football, with 22 of 30 completing attempts (73.3 percent) for 257 yards and three touchdowns with a 133.8 rating.

As part of FedEx’s expanded partnership with Feeding America and its longstanding commitment to addressing food insecurity, in Mahomes’ honor, a $2,000 donation to Kansas City’s local food bank, Harvesters – The Community Food Network, which is part of the Feeding America network. This is Mahomes’ second nomination this season.

For the second consecutive season, FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week recognizes standout performances not only from quarterbacks and running backs but also from wide receivers and tight ends, reflecting the evolving nature of the game and FedEx’s commitment to innovation and precision – both on the field and in business.

FedEx allows fans to vote for some of the best skill position performances each week at NFL.com/FedEx, on the NFL Mobile App, or X at @NFL. Once voting concludes on Wednesday at 3:00 PM ET, the two players with the highest votes will be named the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week.
