After finishing with the worst record in the NFL last season, the Tennessee Titans are hoping their slate will be a little more forgiving in 2025.

The Titans finished with a 3-14 record in 2024, earning a last-place schedule for 2025 that will be announced on May 14. This includes matchups against teams from the AFC South, AFC West and NFC West, as well as games against New England, New Orleans and Cleveland.

Titans 2025 schedule: What we know so far

The NFL will release the 2025 schedule at 7 p.m. on May 14.

Tennessee Titans opponents 2025

Home: Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, L.A. Chargers, L.A. Rams, Seattle, New England, New Orleans

Away: Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Denver, Las Vegas, Arizona, San Francisco, Cleveland

Titans strength of schedule

The Titans’ schedule shakes out favorably for 2025. The AFC South is still one of the weaker divisions in the NFL, so doubling up on games against Jacksonville and Indianapolis is a benefit. So are matchups against last-place teams or squads with quarterback uncertainty such as New England, New Orleans, Las Vegas and Cleveland. The four trips to the west coast are unusual for the Titans, so that might be a bit of an adjustment. But only one of the Titans’ West Coast road trips is against a team that made playoffs last season, compared to three western division teams that come to Nashville who made the playoffs a year ago.

Titans primetime games

The Titans haven’t been a frequent recipient of primetime matchups in recent years. Teams are no longer required to play “Thursday Night Football” games, so the Titans aren’t guaranteed any. But they’ve played at least once in primetime each of the last two seasons, most recently a “Monday Night Football” matchup in Miami last season in Week 4. With Ward’s prominence as the No. 1 draft pick, it would stand to reason that the Titans get the primetime treatment at least once to introduce him to the league. For comparison: the 2024 Chicago Bears got three primetime games scheduled for No. 1 pick Caleb Williams’ rookie season and the 2023 Carolina Panthers got two primetime games scheduled for No. 1 pick Bryce Young.

Titans predictions, picks: How many games will Tennessee win?

The Titans are predicted to win 5.5 games per BetMGM sportsbook. That’s the second-smallest win total in the league, ahead of only Cleveland. The over-under at that point forecasts an improvement over the Titans’ 3-14 record from a year ago. Elsewhere in the AFC South, Houston is predicted to win 9.5 games, and Jacksonville’s and Indianapolis’ over-under are set at 7.5.

What do Tennessee Titans want to see on 2025 schedule?

The most interesting matchup on the 2025 schedule is the one against New England, one that’ll bring coach Mike Vrabel back to Nashville for the first time since the Titans fired him in early 2024. If that game is late on the schedule, it could be a make-or-break moment for Titans coach Brian Callahan and his staff. If the matchup is earlier in the year, this could be a candidate for a primetime matchup.

The other outcomes the Titans should be rooting for are seeing road games against Denver and Cleveland scheduled in September and October rather than November, December and January. If that’s the case, it’ll be fairly easy to avoid any weather-based misery.
