Last week, I had told a friend that I was not going to watch the Baltimore Ravens game against the Los Angeles Rams. It’s been too raw and painful this season. Unfortunately, I made a game time decision and, once again, I was extremely disappointed at the results (“5 things we learned from the Ravens’ 17-3 loss to the Rams,” Oct. 13).
It’s as if these guys have forgotten how to play the game. Week to week, they are decimated by enemy number one — the inexplicable enemy — those debilitating penalty flags. Soon enough, the TV camera zeroes in on head coach John Harbaugh on the sidelines with that familiar pained and exasperated look.
In all, signs should have already been posted regarding putting a team together for next summer when they can work diligently on next season. One can only hope.
