Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson released a statement to ESPN on May 12 where he said the team has not communicated with his camp on a resolution to his trade request.

Adam Schefter posted the statement from last season’s NFL sack leader.

The statement from Hendrickson contradicts a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport last week that the Bengals and Hendrickson were communicating after the draft.

Hendrickson is entering the final year of his contract with the Bengals and is owed $15.8 million in base salary.

The Bengals granted Hendrickson’s request to seek a trade this offseason, but no trade materialized prior to the draft.
