The Dallas Cowboys got quite the haul in the 2025 NFL draft, selecting seven players, led by guard Tyler Booker, the No. 12 overall pick.
Aside from Booker, the Cowboys also drafted defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku, cornerback Shavon Revel Jr., running back Jaydon Blue, linebacker Shemar James, offensive tackle Ajani Cornelius, defensive tackle Jay Toia, running back Phil Mafah and defensive tackle Tommy Akingbesote.

Former NFL star Tony Romo hailed Dallas’ picks. He said the team “did a great job of maximizing” the players available to them, adding the Cowboys could start five of the rookies.
Romo, who serves as the lead analyst of CBS, is a good judge of talent, and to him, new Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer has a lot of quality players at his disposal.

Speaking of talent, the 45-year-old Romo has a new broadcasting colleague in fellow ex-NFL star J.J. Watt. CBS announced in March that Watt will analyze games alongside veteran commentator Ian Eagle.
“I’m so excited for J.J.,” said Romo in a report from The US Sun’s Ryan Sanudo. “That’s such a great leap in a positive way because he showed his skill set to the network.”

The 36-year-old Watt, who played for the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, has been part of CBS’ studio show “The NFL Today” for the last two seasons.
Romo, who has been praised by fans for his ability to predict plays, continued to gush about the three-time Defensive Player of the Year.
“When you’re around J.J., you can’t help but see his gifts, his football knowledge, his personality,” added the former Cowboys quarterback.
“I think it’s just a home run all the way around, so I’m so excited for him, and I think he’s going to do a great job.”
Sanudo noted that It remains unclear if Watt will remain on “The NFL Today.”
