The Bucs in the NFL Draft have been on a heater thanks to the work of Jason Licht and his staff. They have done so well that they have seen people even depart to get their own teams to run, like assistant turned full-time general manager for the Las Vegas Raiders, John Spytek.

That being said, they have made some surprising picks, and because of that the needs on the roster remain the same for the most part. For them specifically, the pass rush is their biggest need as they are likely to lose Haason Reddick this coming offseason. Bleacher Report’s Scouting Department went through all the team needs for every NFL team, and in the Bucs’ case, they see the pass rush needing the most help.

They explain, “Edge defenders have been discussed previously for the Buccaneers, but the focus there was on the top prospects at the position. . .Todd Bowles tends to learn toward the standup outside linebacker type of edges. . .”

The 2026 NFL Draft class is looking like it will be prime picking for the Bucs and Jason Licht if they want to address the edge rusher position. On either day one or two of the draft, they could find a trustworthy starter to play opposite Yaya Diaby.
