Lost in all of the commotion about the firing of Brian Callahan, the Tennessee Titans had to get back to business and deal with some injury issues that arose during the loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

During the defeat, the Titans lost rookie edge Femi Oladejo in the second half to a leg injury, which was eventually diagnosed as a fractured leg. On Tuesday, the Titans placed Oladejo on injured reserve to recover from the injury. While the injury is serious, the team hopes he will recover enough to return to the field in 2025.

With the Titans thin at the edge position, they promoted edge Ali Gaye from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Gaye is familiar with the Titans’ defense, having played in 15 games in 2024, and he made a push during training camp for a spot on the team. Tennessee originally acquired Gaye off waivers from the Houston Texans at the start of the 2024 season, and he recorded eight tackles and a sack in his first season in Nashville.

Tennessee also waived tight end Thomas Odukoya just days after signing him to the active roster from the practice squad, and signed offensive tackle John Ojukwu to the practice squad after his release on Saturday.

The Titans will be back on the field under the tutelage of interim head coach Mike McCoy on Wednesday to start preparations for their Week 6 battle with the New England Patriots.Â
