Bears vs. Saints picks against the spread

Jon Hoefling: Chicago Bears (-5.5)

Washington’s defense is better than most people give them credit for. Chicago was able to put together several solid drives on Monday night, and I expect them to perform even better against a weak Saints’ defense.

Jordan Mendoza: Chicago Bears (-5.5)

Is Chicago legit or just finding ways to win? This game should really test how strong the Bears are. Caleb Williams is able to lead his team to a comfortable victory.

Tyler Dragon: Chicago Bears (-5.5)

Ben Johnson is an early coach of the year candidate. The Bears have won three straight games. It’s soon to be four in a row.

Lorenzo Reyes: Chicago Bears (-5.5)

The Saints have relied far more on balance and running the ball, and the offense has stabilized. The Bears, meanwhile, have been more competitive. Chicago’s secondary has generated 8 interceptions, second-most in the NFL. The Bears are also tied for the league’s best turnover differential (+8). I like Chicago here at home.

Christopher Bumbaca: New Orleans Saints (+5.5)

Caleb Williams is the only quarterback 0-4 or worse on short rest over the last two seasons. The Saints have proved feisty but I don’t expect them to win outright.

Blake Schuster: Chicago Bears (-5.5)

It would be the most Bears thing ever to follow the cornerstone victory of Ben Johnson’s tenure with an inexplicable loss to these Saints and I’m falling right into the trap.
