Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had a so-so performance against the New York Jets in London on Sunday morning in Week 6. Nix finished 19-of-30 for 174 yards and one touchdown in the win. Nix had a great first quarter, but in the second and third quarters, the offense disappeared. Nix led a fourth quarter comeback to win the game, 13-11.
Former NFL quarterback Tim Jenkins dropped his weekly evaluation of Nix, on his YouTube channel, All Things QB.

“In my opinion, it just felt like the offense would get in rhythm at times and then just hurt themselves,” said Jenkins. Penalties hurt the Broncos, especially in the third quarter, when the offensive line held the Jets, creating a safety, and put the Broncos down 11-10.
In the first quarter, Denver had a fourth down, Jenkins praised Nix’s footwork, an aspect of the game which has gotten better through the season. “Let’s watch Bo’s feet here,” said Jenkins. “Great job up front. I mean guys, this is fourth down. Two, three, reset, ball. Yeah, it should not be this easy on fourth and medium on midfield, but Broncos do an incredible job right there.”
On the safety the Broncos gave up, there were two penalties; a holding in the end zone and an offensive pass interference on Troy Franklin. Even Jenkins didn’t see an offensive pass interference call on Franklin on the play. “I am hard pressed to see how this is offensive PI,” Jenkins said. “To me, that’s offsetting penalties.” Offsetting penalties would mean the safety would not count. Ah, such is life.
At the end, Jenkins highlighted Nix’s final play. “As always guys, you end an NFL game with a knee, you’ve got to feel good about it,” said Jenkins. “Do I think it was the best Broncos offensive game I’ve ever seen? Absolutely not. Here’s what I’ll tell you though. It felt like a lot of self-inflicted wounds: holds drops, fumbles, you name it. We weren’t executing at a high enough level. Do I think we lay this one at the feet of Bo Nix? The answer is no.”
