In her most high-profile appearance so far in the 2025 WNBA offseason, Indiana Fever star and former Hawkeyes legend Caitlin Clark was seen at Arrowhead Stadium alongside musician Taylor Swift and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce’s family during the Chiefs‘ “Sunday Night Football” victory over the Detroit Lions.

As a native of West Des Moines, Iowa, Clark has been a lifelong Chiefs fan and even displayed her loyalty to Kansas City by declining to don an Indianapolis Colts jersey when the Fever were honored by the team on Oct. 5.

For Clark, an avid Swift fan, this is not her first time appearing with the iconic musician in Kansas City, as the two stars were seated together in a suite for the 2024 NFL divisional round playoff game between the Chiefs and the Houston Texans on Jan. 18, 2025.

Clark finished her second WNBA season after being drafted No. 1 overall by the Fever in the 2024 WNBA draft, but was limited to just 13 games played after a handful of injuries plagued the phenom, including a groin injury that would eventually end her 2025 campaign.

In those 13 games, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year winner said in her exit interview that her offseason plans will be centered upon getting healthy first and foremost and then on USA Basketball.

While Clark’s appearance with Swift is notable in its own right, Sunday’s contest was the first appearance by the global pop star since her engagement with Kelce in late August.
