3. Carolina Panthers

This one depends on the health of second-year wide receiver Jalen Coker. The team believes in the potential of the former undrafted free agent, as they traded Adam Thielen largely because Carolina believed he could handle a larger role. However, he immediately suffered a quad injury and just returned to practice.

If Jalen Coker is truly healthy, then the Panthers have no reason to trade for Jakobi Meyers. However, if he’s still struggling to stay on the field, then Meyers could be exactly what this team needs. Don’t look now, but the Panthers are 3-3 and firmly in the Wild Card race. Bryce Young has improved in Year 3, and he could be even better if the team gives him a proven veteran like Meyers to round out his supporting cast.
