The Kansas City Chiefs signed veteran wide receiver Jason Brownlee to their practice squad on Wednesday, October 15.
Brownlee had been released earlier in the week as Kansas City’s front office made way for the return of star wideout Rashee Rice, who had been serving a six-game suspension to start the 2025 season.

Defensive back Jammie Robinson terminated his practice squad contract to sign with the Detroit Lions, which cleared a spot for Brownlee to rejoin the Chiefs in Week 7.
Chiefs Wire legend Charles Goldman reported Kansas City’s latest roster moves in a post to his Twitter account on Wednesday:
With this latest maneuver, the Chiefs have effectively maintained the depth of their receiving corps, which has endured significant struggles with injuries in recent seasons.
Stay tuned to see if Brownlee will be elevated from Kansas City’s practice squad during the middle part of the Chiefs’ 2025 campaign, and if Robinson might develop into an impact player for the Lions.
