Jets coach Aaron Glenn on Wednesday dismissed the idea that the team is planning on trading running back Breece Hall.

There has been chatter about Hall being traded dating back to April. That chatter has reemerged with the team at 0-6 and the Nov. 4 trade deadline approaching. Glenn said this summer that the team did not want to trade Hall. He was asked about the latest round of trade rumors.

“They’re rumors,” Glenn said. “Still feel the same way.”

Hall added fuel to the fire with a social media post this week. It read: “They want me to lay down but I got sum to stand for … #Free 20.”

That led to speculation that Hall might want out.

Asked Wednesday for an interpretation of the social media post, Hall said, “maybe one of these days” and left the locker room.

He later returned and spoke to a small group of reporters. Hall gave an explanation that was not very clear.

“I haven’t posted yet this season,” Hall said. “It’s just a way for me to say I’m ready for whatever comes my way, whether it’s going against an opponent, whether it’s in my life. For me, it’s a football thing. All right, I’m ready for whatever opponent is coming my way, whatever the case may be. It’s a for-the-game type of thing.”

Hall was asked if “Free 20” means he wants out.

“Nah. It’s referencing like being in the moment, being in the game,” Hall said. “I”m ready for whatever.”

Hall was asked if the trade rumors are on his mind.

“The only people making these rumors is y’all,” he said, referring to reporters. ”I didn’t start these rumors.”

Hall said last week in London that he wants to stay with the Jets. But as the losses mount, you wonder if the team decides to move him. He is scheduled to be a free agent in March.

The rumors are not going to die down before Nov. 4.

WRs Garrett Wilson (knee) and Josh Reynolds (hip) did not practice Wednesday. Glenn would not rule them out for Sunday’s game against the Panthers. He said he wanted to see how they progress. Wilson said the MRI exam on his knee showed no structural damage and it was just a “healing game” now. … CB Qwant’tez Stiggers (hip) and LB Cam Jones (hip) also did not practice. CB Michael Carter II (concussion) practiced fully.
