It’s a whole slew of former New Orleans Saints players listed on the Cincinnati Bengals‘ crop of last-second roster moves before they kick off on Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Former Saints third-round draft pick Trey Hendrickson is missing Week 7’s kickoff game due to a hip injury, and the Bengals are trying to make up for his absence by bringing up Isaiah Foskey from their practice squad.
Foskey was drafted by the Saints in the second round back in 2023 but was waived this summer, and he eventually reunited with his college coach Al Golden in Cincinnati (who is the Bengals’ defensive coordinator). He’ll be playing behind a couple of first-round picks in Shemar Stewart and Myles Murphy, along with veteran starter Joseph Ossai.

In an unrelated move, the Bengals also activated former Saints offensive lineman Lucas Patrick from injured reserve. He was also seen throwing the ball in pregame warmups and could be the emergency third quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Jake Browning. Joe Burrow is on injured reserve and Sean Clifford was not activated from the practice squad. Patrick is expected to start at right guard, so things could get wacky if Flacco and Browning both end up being unavailable. Stay tuned.
