The Mormon Trail Saints faced off against the Seymour Warriors in Seymour on Oct. 3, falling 28-54.
The Saints were able to put eight points on the board in the first quarter after scoring one touchdown and successfully completing a two-point conversion. The Warriors scored 27 points in the first quarter taking the lead early on that they would keep throughout the game.
The second quarter saw the Saints come out on top in the scoring department although they were not able to take the lead in the game. The Saints put up another eight points on the scoreboard, with another touchdown and another successful two-point conversion while the Warriors scored seven points in the quarter. The first half ended with a score of 16-34.
In the third quarter the Saints were able to score another six points while the Warriors racked up an additional 20 points leading into the final quarter.
Mormon Trail was once again able to score, putting up six points in the fourth while Seymour was not able to score again before the end of the game, with the final score coming to 28-54.
The Saints will face off against the Murray Mustangs tonight in Murray before hosting their final game of the season at home on Oct. 17 against the Lenox Tigers.
