Christian Okoye to lead Chiefs drum ceremony before Raiders game

Go from there. Chris, over the past couple of weeks, you’ve faced some really good running backs and helping uh the line under 100 yards, um, the Jaguars, that’s under 50, um, you faced another one in GT this week, the Raiders just what has been *** success did it run? Joe Cullen, he is our run game coordinator and um. He’s been putting us in the right position to capitalize on the place. That’s just that’s it’s that simple. It’s more unique involved with just, well, I think with your run game coordinator they kind of have to display the runs throughout the week for you, right? And as you. Build *** repetition throughout the week you kinda know what’s coming, so for us it’s *** new reality in the game and we’re able to be in our spots and capitalize on it. Christian, you were *** young guy, who was the veteran that that spoke in the meetings that you kind of Took influence and took tips from and um have you used some of that to to be that guy now for this particular group? Well, I, I had *** lot of older guys um Alan Bailey, Duerry Poe was more so one of the guys who um didn’t speak *** lot, but when he did speak it was, it was very powerful, uh, Eric Berry. And you know, you take *** lot from guys like that over the years and. The good and bad and you see, see how you can influence your group as you get older. And and push the best out of individuals. Chris, what have you seen from Charles Amana who this year compared to last year? We had 2 sacks in back to back weeks so. Uh, keep him on that trend, um, keep his fears high, um, in *** positive mind frame, um, Charles, we, we can utilize Charles in multiple sets for us. He can be *** great asset for us, especially in the long run in the playoff, um, you can play defensive and defensive tackle when he put his smile to it, um, but yeah, we gotta keep Charles in good spirits, keep him, keep him going. Look like on the field that he did he thanked you for that sack that he had? Listen, man, it’s *** lot of layups going around these days. I’m giving out *** lot of layups. You look at the back to back weeks Charles came under me in Jacksonville, got *** lay up. I look last week I missed the sack. He got *** lay up, but as long as it stays in the D-line room, we don’t give them to the DBs and the linebackers, you know. That’s *** whole another story. Not, not, not, not reflection on anybody that’s still here, but what do you guys miss with my canal? Everything and um hopefully you know life through *** full circle me get my guy back um Mike Pinnell is *** *** heck of *** locker room guy um. Uh, and you know, so many things I can say about my brother. We, we gotta get my brother back. Chris, um, I know you guys have got *** nice turnover ratio, but you probably don’t have as many turnovers as you guys would like to have on defense. What’s the key to getting one of those? 4 man pass rush. We gotta get the front four going, um, creating havoc if we can get pressure on the quarterback with our front for our defensive linemen, then we can force them to throw the ball quick or throw eerie throws and feed the DBs. Because when you see the lines and you see Ja off going motion. I’m just curious, you know, they’ll register in your head, OK, we talked about this, this is what’s, you know, they’re probably doing, or you just still. Going straightforward. Well, you know, Dan Campbell is, uh, such an intriguing coach. We knew something out of the ordinary was gonna happen. We just didn’t know when and, you know, I honestly didn’t know that play was called back. I thought they was going for it for 2 when we was going back on the field, but I realized they called it illegal motion because the quarterback on the center, and when you leave you have to be set for *** second, then run the play and I think he was still motioning. When um they snapped the ball, so I thought they actually scored but we knew something was going going to happen with Dan Campbell. things feel different this week with it being Raider week? Is that like more intense for you guys just with that being *** rivalry? For us right now I think everything is super intense. I think we’re at 500 right now. Um, we just got to 500 we was under 500 *** week ago so everything right now for us is intense and. You know, um, there’s *** huge sense of urgency around the building, uh, individually also, so I think everything is magnified, uh, whether it’s play calling, whether it’s execution or just flying to the ball with us right now. Thank you.
