Despite the waiting game dragging on, we are all anxious to see if veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers decides to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. There has been a lot of speculation about when Rodgers will sign with the Steelers, if he does at all. The latest prediction comes from Steelers beat writer Chris Mueller. On Monday, he said that the Steelers are making a big announcement on Tuesday, and he believes it will be the announcement that they are signing Rodgers.
Mueller doesn’t claim to have any sort of inside information on this. He’s not saying this is what he has heard. It stands to reason that if it is true the Steelers have something big to announce, it doesn’t get any bigger than this.

The Steelers have been courting Rodgers since free agency began. Rodgers has been completely non-committal about playing for the Steelers or any team, for that matter. In his one interview on the topic it felt more like Rodgers doesn’t even want to play football in 2025 which doesn’t bode well for the team that makes a financial commitment to him.
