First-round format
For the first round of playoffs, the second-named team in the blind draw is the host school. Records are not considered in who the host school is. Teams can agree to switch the site.
This explains why Jennings County, a team with a 3-5 record, is hosting Bedford North Lawrence, a team with a 6-2 record.
Head-to-head is also not a factor. For example, Corydon Central will play on the road at North Harrison, despite beating them 32-29 in week 3.
