ACKERMAN – The Chargers came into the contest 2-0 in Class 3A, Region 4. A third win in district meant that they solidified a division championship and gained home field advantage going into playoffs.
However, the visiting Tigers had other ideas.
Noxubee County came into the contest 0-1 after falling to the Winona Tigers and wanted to get the upset against the Chargers – and they did just that.
After a hard fought contest, Choctaw County dropped a heartbreaker 8-7 to the Tigers from Noxubee County.
