The Washington Commanders are coming off a terrible loss to the Chicago Bears in a nationally televised game on Monday night. With the Commanders in a position to win the game late and seal things, star quarterback Jayden Daniels fumbled the football on a handoff exchange and allowed the Bears to go on a game-winning drive that ended with a Jake Moody go-ahead field goal.
The Commanders are looking to bounce back this week against the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, Daniels is goin to have to figure out a way to manufacture a victory without one of his top targets, according to one prominent league insider.
“Commanders placed WR Noah Brown on injured reserve, sidelining him for a minimum of four games,” ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Hopefully Terry Mclaurin can come back this week. They really need him,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Tough break for the Commanders Noah Brown was just starting to find rhythm in that offense. They’ll miss his physicality and reliability on third downs,” someone else added.
“Bad news for the Commanders. Their receiver room’s looking pretty thin at the moment,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Commanders replace Brown’s production.
