EMPORIUM — Down 12-0 with 5:32 left in the second quarter on the road at Cameron County, the Brookville Raiders scored the game’s final 21 points and notched a 23-12 victory over the host Red Raiders.

The Raiders (3-6) started the comeback with Trenton Colgan’s 26-yard TD run just over one minute into the third quarter and Jayden Moraz booted the point-after kick to make it 12-7.

Brookville went up for good when Colgan hit Gabe Hannah for a 19-yard TD reception to go up 13-7 with 3:02 left in the third.

Then in the fourth, Chase Nimmo went 39 yards for a touchdown and Hayden Freeman added a two-point conversion run to put the Raiders up 21-12 at the 10:22 mark.

The Raiders set the final when they tackled Cameron’s Kamden Fragale in the end zone for a safety with 5:44 remaining.

Nimmo and Colgan led the Brookville offense.

Nimmo rushed for 98 yards on 15 carries while Colgan added 73 yards on the ground in 19 attempts while completing 6 of 13 passes for 60 yards.

Cameron’s Malakai Zucal ran and passed for touchdowns in the first quarter, connecting with Fragale for their TD pass. The Red Raiders dropped to 6-3 going into next Friday’s game at Smethport.

The Raiders finish the regular season at Redbank Valley next Friday.
