Two of the last three Mountain West Championship games have been contested between UNLV and Boise State, who will get reacquainted in Idaho on Saturday. The Rebels have come off second-best in the last nine straight encounters between these two programs, and Boise State is an 11.5-point favorite coming into this clash.
That’s despite the fact that the Broncos have given up two losses compared to UNLV’s undefeated run thus far in 2025, albeit against a much more preferable schedule. Boise State beat New Mexico 41-25 in its last outing and stretched its home win streak to 15 as a result, tying the record for the longest in the nation at present.
UNLV visits The Blue on the back of a 51-48 comeback win over Air Force, which doesn’t bode particularly well for its hopes of holding back the Boise State offense. Maddux Madsen threw for two touchdowns and no interceptions in last week’s win over the Lobos, but could do with some clean-up in his game to withstand UNLV’s assault.
