Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season is already upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the Green Packers Packers heading west to visit the Arizona Cardinals at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Packers returned from their bye last week and were able to pick up a 27-18 home victory over the Bengals, improving to 3-1-1 on the year. Rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden had his most productive game as a pro so far and we’ll see if he can carry that momentum with him into the desert.

Below, we’ll go over Golden’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 7.

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WR Matthew Golden

Golden caught three of five targets for 86 receiving yards un last Sunday’s win over the Bengals, also adding two carries for 16 rushing yards to his ledger. It was the third straight game where the rookie out of the Texas crossed 50 yards and each of his receptions went for 20+ yards to move the Pack down the field. He currently ranks in the top 20 in ADOT among receivers with at least 50 routes run this season, so he’s really starting to carve out a role as a big-play option for Jordan Love.

Start. The Packers’ offense will be well off if they continue to turn to Golden for big plays and I think they will do just that against the Cards on Sunday. Something to note is that Arizona has allowed the fifth-most air yards on completions this season and that plays into the favor of the developing deep-threat connection between Love and Golden. Start him.
