The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a tough 35-7 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of wife Marissa Lawrence and especially daughter Shae, cheering as they watched father Trevor play in London, with both celebrating at Wembley Stadium.
Trevor Lawrence’s Daughter Lights Up the Difficult Day for the Jaguars
Images shared on Marissa’s social media account show Shae’s joy as she cheers on the Jaguars at one of the most important stadiums in world sport. The trip to England may have been frustrating in terms of the result on the field, but the photos show that Trevor was understandably happy to have his family at the stadium.
Other photos that caught the eye show Mowry wearing a beautiful black Jaguars coat, an extremely appropriate outfit considering that the weather throughout the game was intensely cold and heavily overcast, as reported by the NFL Network broadcast team.
Marissa gave birth to Shae in January. “Mommy and daddy love you so much!!! Thank you Jesus for our girl,” she wrote on Instagram back then. In one of the pictures, the little one was adorably dressed in a knitted pink sweater with her name in cursive.
Despite Shae’s presence, Trevor, who received a D+ grade with a score of 69.9 in PFSN’s QB impact metrics in this season till now, could not bring a win for the Jaguars. He completed 23-48 attempted passes, contributing 296 yards but only one touchdown.
On the other hand, the real standout was Matthew Stafford, quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, who contributed five touchdowns and 21-33 completed passes (182 yards).
The Rams took the lead early in the first quarter with two touchdowns on their first two drives, while the Jaguars punted twice. The first big play came on a 6:55 drive, with Stafford connecting with Konata Mumpfield in the end zone. Five minutes later, the Rams added seven more points after Stafford made a precise pass to Davant Adams.
In the second quarter, the Jaguars’ offense remained completely ineffective, and Trevor could not score six points after a punt, a missed field goal by kicker Cam Little, and a turnover on downs. On the other hand, the Stafford-Adams duo worked well again, leaving the score at 21-0 in favor of the Rams at halftime.
Low intensity took over the offensive movement of both teams in the third quarter, and no points were scored. However, the Jaguars continued giving their fans very negative signals, with Trevor failing to get a single first down. Early in the fourth quarter, the Rams forced a penalty on fourth down, and a 31-yard pass from Stafford to Terrance Fergunson resulted in another Rams touchdown.
After the score reached 31-0, the Jaguars finally managed to score their first points when Trevor hit an excellent 34-yard pass to Travis Hunter in a perfect connection. Shae was certainly thrilled with this touchdown, but there wasn’t enough time left for the Jaguars to mount a comeback.
Trevor will have an extended break with his daughter as the Jaguars have a bye in Week 8. The team will return to the field in Week 9, in an away game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
