The Seattle Seahawks have gotten off to a strong start during Sam Darnold‘s first season with the team. They entered Week 7 tied atop the NFC West with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams as all four teams sported 4-2 records.
The Seahawks will look to remain there as they prepare to square off against the Houston Texans in a battle on “Monday Night Football.”
The Texans are just 2-3 on the season thus far, but they won back-to-back games entering their bye week. Houston’s defense is playing at a high level, while C.J. Stroud has shown signs of life against weak Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens defenses in his last two starts.
Stroud will face a tougher defensive test against a Seahawks team that entered Week 7 having allowed just 19.5 points per game, sixth-fewest in the NFL. The good news for the Texans? They have allowed just 12.2 points per game, easily the least in the league, so they will give Darnold his toughest test of the 2025 NFL season to date.

What time does Seahawks-Texans NFL game start?
The Seahawks vs. Texans game will kick off at 10 p.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 20. The game will be the second in a “Monday Night Football” doubleheader, following a matchup between the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier in the evening.
The Seahawks will host the Texans in the tail-end of the “MNF” doubleheader at Lumen Field in Seattle.

ESPN owns the rights to the “Monday Night Football” broadcast package and will be the exclusive home to the Week 7 capper.
