Matthew Stafford is putting together an all-time great season for the Los Angeles Rams in 2025.

He’s thrown an NFL-leading 17 touchdowns (pending the Monday night games) with 1,866 total passing yards and just two interceptions and led the Rams to a 5-2 record heading into their Week 8 bye.

And while Stafford has been incredible all year, he was sensational in L.A.’s Week 7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Not only did Stafford see a season-high 55.9% blitz rate, per NFL NextGen Stats, but he threw all five of his touchdowns against Jacksonville’s blitz.

This game is exactly why the Rams didn’t want Stafford to leave this offseason. Despite his age, he is still an elite quarterback who can dominate games with a good core around him. Stafford did all of this without Puka Nacua in the line-up, instead hitting Davante Adams on three end zone passes as well as a rookies Konata Mumpfield and and Terrance Ferguson in other parts of the game.

L.A. is in the thick of the NFC race because of Stafford’s arm, and Week 7 was perhaps his best game of the year.
