🏈 Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kenny Pickett fumbled on his first snap in Sunday’s 31-0 blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
To say the least, it was an abysmal afternoon for Las Vegas. Pickett replaced starter Geno Smith in the fourth quarter. Smith threw for only 67 yards.
The Chiefs had as many first downs (30) as the Raiders had offensive snaps. 30 plays was the second-fewest by any team, in any game, in the Super Bowl era, according to NFL+ Research.
🏈 New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields reacted to being benched in Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers. Fields completed 6 of 12 passes for 46 yards with zero touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a passer rating of 59.7.
“It’s not my decision. I’m here to be the best teammate I can be. I’m here to be the best person I can be,” Fields said when asked if he felt his benching was warranted.

🏈 George Pickens had another standout performance in the Dallas Cowboys’ 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders. Pickens caught four passes for 82 yards (20.5 average).
🏈 Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley thinks the NFL officiating has been a joke this season.
“@NFL has to get Officiating cleaned up and more consistent! NFL making too much money to allow this to go on. Make officials full time, let them study teams all week and pay them! Tired of getting frustrated by it,” Haley wrote on X.

🏈 Stephen A. Smith called out Jalen Ramsey.
“Didn’t you trade Minkah Fitzpatrick so you could get Jalen Ramsey? Jalen Ramsey was getting exploited throughout the night, multiple times by multiple people,” Smith said on ESPN’s First Take. “Not just Ja’Marr Chase. What I’m worried about is the reliability associated with Jalen Ramsey. We have to ask, he’s been around for a very long time, he’s done it all. It’s not to say that the brother still can’t play and he can’t still do good things, but is he what he used to be? Because I don’t see last night happening to a younger Jalen Ramsey.”
🏈 Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen was fined $23,186 for a hit on Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel that was deemed a blow to the head or neck.
🏈 ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said both T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward were frustrated after the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.
“I was at locker room last night, and there was a mix of confusion and really anger. Talking to Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, they were just talking about how unacceptable this performance was. Mainly from a run-defense standpoint,” Fowler said Friday on SportsCenter. “We know that Joe Flacco was getting his yards and Ja’Marr Chase can go off when he does get one-on-one coverage. They want to clean up their matchups on the back end, but they feel like that is only elevated when you can get it done with the run defense. The Steelers have always prided themselves on that.”
🏈 The Steelers had a scout at the Oregon-Rutgers game in New Jersey on Saturday night. Oregon quarterback Dante Moore could be a top prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft.
🚨Scouts around the country in Week 8:
• Notre Dame-USC: Chiefs (2), Buccaneers (2), Lions (2), Bills (2), Giants (2), Ravens, Bears, Broncos, Eagles, Packers, Jaguars, Chargers, Rams, Dolphins, Saints
