Josh Allen is the face of the National Football League right now and there is a lot of drama surrounding a certain Facebook post. The post mentioned that Josh Allen was not going to participate in the National Football League’s Pride Night.

According to the Facebook post, they claim this, not fact-checked, rumor. The post said that Josh Allen was quoted:

“I respect everyone’s beliefs and choices but for me, football has always been about the game -not politics, not agendas. I’m here to represent hard work, competition, and unity–that’s what this sport means to me.”

But, you can’t believe everything that you see on the internet. In fact, most of these stories, especially in the AI era that we are living in, are not even true. Josh Allen did not say that quote. In fact, there is not even a National Football League “Pride Night”.

There are so many stories that people share on Facebook that are not true and sometimes they are very obviously not true, but to others–not so much. Last year, there was a post that looked like it could have been real, but it was too late and thousands of people shared it on social media. The post said that 7 refereed were fired and banned from ever referring again in the NFL after the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs game. You have to question posts on Facebook, especially ones with absolutely no source. The claims are so easy to be taken as true because there are pictures or graphics that can look so official.
